Red Dog Poker - Players Guide

There is not a lot to learn about playing the game of Red Dog Poker as it is simply a game of chance. All versions of this game a full deck of 52 playing cards with no jokers or wild cards with only 3 cards per game at in use.

The game begins with the Dealer dealing you two cards if they are not a Pair or Consecutive then you simply have to guess whether the third card dealt in between these two cards will fall with-in the two values.

For example if you have been dealt a 2 and a 9 you have to wager that the third card will be a 3,4,5,6,7 or an 8 then your bet will win as they all fall with-in the values of 2 and 9.

The odds and payouts of Red Dog Poker are as follows;
1 card Spread pays 5:1
2 cards Spread pays 4:1
3 cards Spread pays 2:1
4 to 11 cards Spread pays Even Money
Consecutives cards are a Tie
Pairs are a Tie
Three of a Kind pays 11:1

Red Dog Poker - Betting Options and Terminology

Call - This is when you want to finish a hand but don't wish to Raise your bet, a third card will be dealt to you without charge.

Raise - Raising is when you bet that the third card will fall with-in the two values and this bet will cost you double your initial wager. This allows you to win twice as much.

Spread - This is the total possible number of card positions that are between the two cards dealt.

Consecutives - These are two cards whose values are consecutive I.E. 3 and 4 or 7 and 8. If you get dealt Consecutives then the game is a tie and you neither win or lose that hand.

Pairs - A pair is two cards that are the same I.E. 2x7's, 2x4's 2x Queen's etc etc
